I looked at our picture last night...
I really thought we, together, looked so right.
Suddenly, I realized you were't there for me anymore.
And, I realized, that I didn't love you as much as I did before.
Do you ever think of me now and then?
Do you ever wonder how I am doing and how I've been?
Remember when I said, "Forever and a day"?
Well, you were in my heart then and there you will forever stay.
You know I never wanted to say "Goodbye".
And, yes, after that night i did cry!
But the crying soon ceased.
And, now, the pain has finally eased.
But, every now and then, I still think of you.
Do you ever think of me, too?
You will always hold a special place in my heart.
No matter where you go or how long we are apart.
You made me what I am and you will remain a part of me,
No matter what happens or where I may be.
You were my first love; my friend; my inspiration.
That's why I gave you my book's dedication.
And someday I hope you find what you are looking for.
And if you ever need me, don't hesitate to knock on my door.
